CSI Literacy is a close-knit team of publishers, designers and communications specialists with a common goal: to help teachers transform students’ learning with resources with that work.
Neale Pitches | Executive Chair

Neale Pitches is the writer and founder of CSI Literacy. A former teacher, principal and CEO of Learning Media, Neale was honoured by the Queen in 2003 for his contributions to New Zealand education. Neale has presented internationally on literacy and school leadership, often focusing on how to teach literacy across the curriculum and on the alignment of school leadership with effective practice.
Meryl-Lynn Pluck | Director
M.Phil (in Education specialising in reading difficulties), BEd, Dip Tchg
Meryl-Lynn has been a teacher and a Resource Teacher of reading, and trained academically under the world-renowned Dame Marie Clay. She began developing and publishing resources more than 20 years ago as a response to the needs she saw as a specialist teacher of struggling readers. Meryl-Lynn’s audio-assisted resources now sell around the world, and her research into effective literacy practices with struggling readers has been published internationally.
Matt Comeskey | Publishing Manager
BA (Hons), Dip Publishing
Matt oversees the publication of all CSI Literacy resources. He knows how to create and source engaging content that young people love to read, and is passionate about helping young readers become strategic, confident and inspired readers. What motivates Matt the most is hearing from teachers about how CSI Literacy has improved their students' reading skills and self-confidence.
Stephen Minchin | Publisher
BSc, MSc, Dip Publishing
Stephen creates content and manages the development of various CSI Literacy resources. Before joining CSI, Stephen ran his own publishing company specialising in New Zealand science fiction and fantasy, while also working for a wide range of public- and private-sector organisations.
Esther Chua | CSI Literacy Designer
BDes Visual Communication Design
Esther is the founding designer of CSI Literacy, and has also run her own award-winning graphic design company for over 10 years, working with publishing clients in NZ and offshore.
Keri Trim | Communications – Marketing
BCS, GradDipTeaching (Primary), Dip Publishing
Keri is a teacher, publisher and communications specialist. She manages the digital marketing for CSI Literacy, and loves building communities and helping make teachers’ lives easier.
Emily Falloon | Communications – Sales
BA (Hons), GradDipPublishing
Emily manages sales and activates subscriptions for the Literacy Cloud online portal, alongside researching and developing CSI publishing projects. She has a strong background in the Arts (English and Classics) and has developed a keen interest in education and literacy learning.
